This is a concept for a creature based in "Magdalena's Lizard" leyend from Jaen. There's a famous quote there that says "Hope you explode like Magdalena's Lizard!", 'cause in the tale, the hero kills the monster feeding it with powder...

I wanted a root in animals that have existed, so instead of a dragon, this monster is like a terrestrial crocodile based loosely in Montealtosuchus. The extended spine or "sail" is entirely invented; of all prehistoric crocs that have been discovered , none of them have this feature.
